Overview
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for February 2026 is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Interested candidates can apply online from November 27 to December 18, 2025.
Exam Date: February 8, 2026
Paper-I: 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Paper-II: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Admit Card: End of January 2026
Result: Expected March 2026

CTET Eligibility
Primary Level (Class 1 to 5)
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with ≥50% marks + passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with ≥45% marks + passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (NCTE 2002 norms)
Senior Secondary with ≥50% marks + passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
Senior Secondary with ≥50% marks + passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Graduation with ≥50% marks + passed or appearing in final year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from NCTE recognized institution
Must complete a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education within two years of appointment
Post-Graduation with ≥55% marks + passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed
Junior Level (Class 6 to 8)
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
Graduation + passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Graduation/Post-Graduation with ≥50% marks + passed or appearing in final year B.Ed
Graduation with ≥45% marks + passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed (as per NCTE norms)
Senior Secondary + ≥50% marks + passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.El.Ed
Senior Secondary + ≥50% marks + passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
Graduation + ≥50% marks + passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed or B.Ed (Special Education)
Candidates pursuing teacher education courses recognized by NCTE or RCI are also eligible
