Short Description

IIT Guwahati has released the online application form for GATE 2026.

Male and Female candidates can apply till 28 September 2025.

Candidates must read the official notification for complete details before applying.

GATE 2026 – Important Instructions

Photograph Instructions

• Face must occupy at least 75% of the photograph.

• Use a good quality, recent passport-sized, color photo.

• Background must be white.

Signature Instructions

• Draw a rectangle of 2 cm × 7 cm on A4 paper.

• Sign inside the box using a blue or black pen.

• Signature must be in running handwriting.

Thumb Impression

• Draw a rectangle 3 cm × 5 cm on A4 paper.

• Use Left Thumb Impression inside the box.

Candidates must have passed or be appearing in one of the following:

• B.E / B.Tech / B.Pharm

• B.Arch

• B.Sc (Research) / B.S

• M.Sc / MA / MCA

• M.E / M.Tech

• Dual Degree / Integrated Courses

How to Fill GATE 2026 Online Form

1. Visit the official GATE 2026 portal.

2. Read the GATE 2026 Notification carefully before applying.

3. Collect all required documents:

   • Handwriting sample

   • Eligibility documents

   • ID proof

   • Address details

4. Keep scanned copies ready:

   • Photo

   • Signature

   • Thumb impression

   • ID proof

5. Fill all the details carefully in the application form.

6. Preview the form and verify all entries before submitting.

7. Pay the application fee (if required).

   • Without fee payment, the form will be considered incomplete.

8. Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.

9. Candidates must read the complete GATE 2026 advertisement before applying.
